Jessie A ZitzelbergerAugust 22, 1986 ~ April 27, 2017 (age 30)
Jessie A. Zitzelberger, Layton Utah, resident, passed away quietly from a brain aneurysm, Thursday, April 27, 2017 at Davis Hospital and Medical Center, at Layton, Utah. He was 30 years old. Jessie was born on August 22, 1986, at Clark Air Force Base, in the Philippines. Jessie was diagnosed with Down syndrome and Autism when he was born.
His father Jeff was in the United States Air Force and they moved about every 3 to four years. Jessie and his family moved from the Philippines to Lackland Air Force Base at San Antonio, Texas in 1989. He attended Pre-school and Kindergarten there. The family then moved to Fairchild Air Force Base at Spokane, Washington in 1989. Jessie attended the majority of his elementary school at Fairchild Elementary School. The family then moved to Croughton Air Force Base at England, in 1994. Jessie attended Croughton Elementary School and Junior high school until 1997. The family moved to Spangdahlem Air Force Base at Spangdahlem, Germany, in 1997. While living there, Jessie finished Junior High and started High school. The family moved again to Hill Air Force Base, Utah, in 2001. His father retired from the Air Force in Utah and this is where the family finally put down roots.
Jesse graduated from the Students Transitioning for Educational & Personal Success (Steps) High School program in Farmington, Utah on May, 23, 2008. Jessie moved to his new home with the CTA Community, in Layton, Utah, in 2005. After he graduated he volunteered at a variety of jobs. He especially enjoyed volunteering at the local animal shelters.
He was a member of The St. Mary’s Catholic Church in West Haven, Utah. He loved books, listening to music, going to the local amusement parks, eating out with his dad, and being with friends and family. Jessie was a sweet and loving person who was always ready to give a hug or a fist bump.
He is survived by his parents, Jeff and Christina Zitzelberger, his brother Mitchell Zitzelberger, his sister Deanna Zitzelberger, his Step Brother Dallin Green, his Step Sister Cambria Brown, and his Grand Parents, Phyllis Collins and step- grandparent Roy Bly, Rob and Suzie Chambers, and Great Grand Parent Wes Schvaneveldt.
