A Letter to “Duh”

Well Mom congratulations on your graduation from this life to the next. You had wanted to go for some time now. You were a prisoner of a body full of cancer and a mind filled with anxiety. I am so happy for you but sad for all of us who already miss you a ton. We know you are in Heaven building us rainbows and we were blessed to see one the day you left us. Here on Earth you called us your Angel’s and now we all feel like you are our Angel watching over us.

JoAnn Moser Dubach was born January 14th, 1944 and graduated to Heaven August 29th, 2019. She was married to my dad, Ferris Jay Dubach Jr. on August 26th, 1965 in the Salt Lake Temple and 3 days prior to her passing they were able to celebrate their 54th wedding anniversary. She was born in Salt Lake City to Walt and Ruth Moser and lived in Salt Lake her entire life. Mom spent 43 years as a key punch operator working for Beneficial, Utah Power and Light and Questar.

JoAnn was a kind hearted woman, a loving mother and wife who spoiled her grandchildren beyond belief. She will be incredibly missed by those who knew her. Mom loved jewelry, books, coins, dolls, Angel’s, Elvis, butterflies, rainbows, frosty’s from Wendy’s and dogs (Especially Snickers).

My mom is survived by her husband Ferris, her son Mark (Heather), and her grandkids Demi, Daxton (Jiselle), Savanna (Preston), Miranda (Mike and Riggley), Austin (Mikayla), Josh, Hayden and Noah; and sister Rosalie (Dean). Jody (As my dad would call her) was a very private person in life and wanted it to stay that way with her passing so she had no interest in people coming to look at her in a coffin. She is being cremated via her wishes and we will scatter her ashes “somewhere” at a later date.

A graduation party will be held in her honor September 8th 2019 at my home in South Jordan. We would like people to come during the following times to visit and honor my mom.

Thanks to all those who cared for my mom the past 3 weeks. Through the hard times you all made it better.

In closing Mom thanks for the memories, the dancing, the “Duh” moments at the door with my kids and the love you showed all of us when you could. Until we meet again you will be in my thoughts regularly.
