Marcia Joan Miller

Marcia Joan Miller, 82, passed away peacefully on Monday, November 11, 2019 surrounded by her loving family. She was born April 20,1937 in Cerro Gordo, Illinois to Erna and Maude Adams. She resided there until a handsome young USAF airman, William B. Miller, captured her heart. They were married on Christmas Eve 1954 and enjoyed 55 years together until his passing in 2010. Together they were blessed with daughters Becky (Steve) Deal, Roberta Callahan, and Doris (Brett) Horrocks, son David Dyett Miller (deceased) and a stillborn son. Marcia was also blessed with grandchildren Ann, David (Jennifer), BJ (Jennifer), Stephen, Joshua (Emalee) and Nate (Tiffany), and 13 great grandchildren all of whom she loved dearly.

Marcia was a member of Centenary United Methodist Church and worked at Harmons Brickyard store for several years before retiring. She enjoyed knitting, jigsaw puzzles, reading and gardening, loved birds, and was an avid Chicago Cubs and Bears fan. Yellowstone was her favorite place on earth.

She also leaves behind her dear sister Martha (Marvin) Wood of Weatherford, Texas, nieces, nephews and extended family all of whom held a special place in her heart. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, siblings Francis Lee Adams, Robert Dale Adams, and Mary Jean Adams.

A memorial service will be held Tuesday, Nov. 19 from 6 pm to 8 pm at Wasatch Lawn Mortuary, 3401 S. Highland Dr, Salt Lake City, Utah. Our family would also like to thank Dr. Stephen Aslami for taking such wonderful care of our dear Mother.
