Alfred Wayne Bigelow, 76, was reunited with his eternal companion, Sharon Hyde Bigelow, on July 4, 2006. He died at home of cancer surrounded by his family who love and adore him.
He was born February 10, 1930 in Lamont, Iowa to Charles and Verneal Bigelow. He married Sharon Hyde on August 2, 1958 in Seattle, Washington. They were sealed for eternity in the Salt Lake LDS Temple on December 4, 1963. His strong work ethic, witty sense of humor and selfless service will live on in those he leaves behind.
Alfred is survived by eight children: Delanie Eley, Valarie (Gordon) Evans, Alfred C. (Jennifer) Bigelow, Stephanie (Jay) Hickman, Henry (Schillene) Bigelow, Barry (Desiree) Bigelow, Tamarie Bigelow and Terrence (Ann-Marie) Bigelow. He is also survived by 29 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, brothers Charles Arthur Bigelow and Orville Paul Bigelow, sisters Rosalind B. Brown and Edith May Boll.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, July 8, 2006 at the Cottonwood Heights LDS Stake Center, 6890 South 2225 East in Cottonwood Heights. A viewing will be held at the church from 6-8 p.m. on Friday, July 7, 2006 and one hour prior to services on Saturday where friends and family may call. Interment will follow at American Fork Cemetery. Arrangements by SereniCare, Funeral Directors.
