Allyson Mitchell Taylor

Our loving grandmother, mother, sister, and friend, Allyson Mitchell Taylor, born August 15, 1953, died July 9 after a courageous battle with colon cancer. An excellent educator who taught many years in both Oregon and Utah. With her unforgettable vibrant and lively spirit, her contagious laughter and radiant smile, she lived for her kids, and was an influential teacher who taught us to love music and books, be humble, Christ-like, and accepting, and loving of everyone. Survived by seven children, Tamson Taylor, Derek (Karina) Taylor, Miriam (Bryce) Gerritsen, Jessica (Tyson) Payne, Tyson (Crystal) Taylor, Landes Taylor, and Mackenzie Taylor. Nine grandchildren, Hayden and Brogan; Dominic, Cristian, and Giovanni; Calyssia; Faith, Tasiana. Preceded in death by granddaughter Elle Kae Gerritsen and parents Dan and Alice Mitchell.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, July 13, at 1:00 p.m. at the Edgehill Ward Bldg located at 1750 South 1500 East, Salt Lake City Utah 84105. Interment will follow at 2:30 p.m. at the Salt Lake Cemetery. Friends may call Wednesday from 6:00 - 8:00pm and Thursday at 11:30am at that same location.
