A life well lived has sadly come to an end with sadness in our hearts, we say goodbye to Amos Lacy Hancock, age 85 of Kearns, Utah on April 22, 2026

Lacy was born on April 6, 1941 to the late Claude Cornelius and Margie Choate Hancock in a small farming community in Trigg County, Kentucky. On May 6, 1961 Lacy married the love of his life, Judy Gregersen, who survives him. Family was an important part of Lacy's life. He took much pleasure in his children and grandchildren.

Lacy joined the Army in 1958 at age 17. He enjoyed learning meteorology in the military. After leaving the military in 1964, Lacy was proud of his job as a Senior Scientist. He was a proud veteran. 

Lacy leaves behind his wife, Judy; his son Bradd (Edna) Hancock and his daughters; Glenda (Jay) Kidd and Marcy (Jerry) Hancock, Lisa Hancock and Lucy (Arleigh) Knoth. Also his surviving grandchildren; Shannon, Casey, Cadie, Shane, Caleb, Brett, Desiree, Brandon, Devin, Jesse, Kristen, Dylan, Chase, Austin and Amanda; 28 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren. Lacy is also survived by his siblings; Helen, Doug, Delores, Jack, Jill and Jeanette.

Lacy was preceded in death by his parents, his daughter, Vicky Hancock; grandchildren, Jacob Hancock, Jessica Jacobsen and Tyler Hancock. Siblings preceding him were Billy, David, Jimmy Lloyd, Roger, Herman, James, Betty Jo, Ruth, Barbara, Martha and Margaret.

Visitation for Lacy will be held on Friday, May 1, 2026 from 10:00 -11:00 a.m at City View Memorial, 1001 E 11th Avenue, SLC UT 84103. .
