Andres “Andy” Bazan Taylor, 67, passed away peacefully in his sleep on September 6, 2025, in Taylorsville, Utah, after a courageous battle with brain cancer.

He was born on August 1, 1958, in Sinaloa, Mexico, to Andres Taylor Sr. and Griselda Bazan. Andy was a devoted father, grandfather, brother, and friend. He is survived by his five children: Andres Taylor Jr., Elizabeth Taylor, Cynthia Taylor, Robert Taylor, and Andrea Miyasaki. He leaves behind 14 cherished grandchildren: Kenny, Kevin, Tim, Tony, Aaliyah, Jovan, Joseph, Delilah, Aiden, Alina, Marlen, Stella, Ivy, and Elias. He is also survived by his sisters, Lety Richardson and Mariana Gonzalez, along with many nieces, nephews, and extended family who loved him dearly.

Andy worked in construction throughout his life, becoming a skilled foreman and eventually founding his own business, Taylor Concrete Design LLC. He was a perfectionist with his craft, believing that if something couldn’t be done, he would teach himself how to do it. His creativity and determination were evident not only in his work but also in the many projects he built and shared with his family.

Those who knew Andy remember him as funny, outgoing, and kindhearted, with a stubborn streak that was matched only by his big imagination. He loved helping others and found joy in the simple pleasures of life: riding the custom bike he built, singing and playing guitar, listening to music, gardening, and carving faces into stone, wood, and metal.

He had a gift for turning ordinary moments into treasured memories, whether it was building sledding hills for his grandkids and the neighborhood kids or playing basketball with his children and grandchildren.

Among his proudest accomplishments were his children, his grandchildren, and the business he worked tirelessly to build. His family remembers his warmth, his laughter, and his ability to make everyday life an adventure.

Andy was preceded in death by his parents, Andres Taylor Sr. and Griselda Bazan, and his sisters, Socorro Martinez and Josefina Lopez.

No services are planned at this time, but his family will continue to celebrate his life and carry forward the legacy of love, imagination, and determination that he left behind.
