Bonnie E. Evans was born Nov. 20, 1929 in Provo, UT to Leland Caleb Evans and Martha Loveless. She passed away on June 27, 2016. She was sealed to her forever sweetheart, Gordon DeLong Evans, on March 20, 1950 in the SLC LDS Temple. They lived in SLC for 27 years, Provo for 22 years and Orem for 17 years. Bonnie was a wonderful mother to her 5 children and was known as Grandma Cookie or Bunny to 19 grandchildren and 22+2 great grandchildren.
Bonnie was active in the LDS Church serving in Primary, Relief Society, Cub Scouts and serving two missions with her husband. She was PTA president for 5 years and employed as a secretary and dental assistant. She dearly loved her husband of 66 years and dedicated her life to loving and caring for him and her 5 children. She enjoyed dancing, going to the theater with Gordon and camping/traveling with her family.
She is survived by her husband, Gordon; 5 children: Gordon K. (Valarie) Evans, L. Cory (Markae) Evans, Martie (John) Breivik, Curtis J. (Julie) Evans, Melissa (Samuel) DeLong.
Funeral services will be held Friday, July 1, 2016 at the Cascade 7th Ward Chapel, 400 E. 400 N., Orem at 12 noon with a viewing at 10 a.m. prior to the services. Interment: Orem City Cemetery. In celebration of Bonnie's life and at her request, family and friends are invited to an Ice Cream Social at 2 p.m. following the interment (Cascade 7th Ward Chapel).
