Brian Joseph Eggett

Brian Joseph Eggett died October 7, 2006 of an accidental fall from the top of Squaw Peak in Provo, Utah. He was born February 17, 1976 in Provo, Utah, to James Lynn and Sue Ellen Goodsell Eggett. He spent most of his growing up years in Elk Ridge, Utah but was presently residing in Provo, Utah. He enjoyed the outdoors, weight lifting, art work, and many other hobbies. Brian worked for nearly six years as a skilled bronze foundry-man at the Baer Bronze Foundry in Springville, Utah. There he was a major contributor to many well-known sculptures. He did the intricate bronze needle work for the tall pine tree sculpture made for the Oneida Indian Tribe which now stands at the Smithsonian Institute in Washington D.C. He loved his work and fellow associates there. He was also a most helpful and respectful son and best friends with his siblings. He never married but he was a favorite of his two nephews and other younger children who loved to wrestle with him. He is survived by his parents, Jim and Sue Eggett, three brothers and one sister: Brandon James (Odessa) Eggett of West Jordan, Utah; Benjamin Lee Eggett, West Jordan, Utah; Laurie Ann Eggett, San Bernardino, California; Jonathan Richard Eggett, Provo, Utah; two nephews Joshua (7) and Trevin (3) Eggett. He was preceded in death by his grandparents: Joseph Orson Eggett and Mildred Brown Eggett of Bountiful, Utah; and Lee Wilson and Ellen LaDore Ward Goodsell of Springville, Utah. Funeral service will be Friday, October 13, 11:00 a.m., in the Elk Ridge Third Ward Chapel located at 259 Alpine Drive in Elk Ridge. Friends and family may visit at the church Thursday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 or Friday morning one hour prior to the services.
