Carl Lee Williams

He fought a good fight! On February 22, 2007, Carl Lee Williams, 50, our beloved father, sweetheart, brother, and friend passed away in Payson, Utah after a courageous battle with multiple myeloma cancer. He was at home surrounded by his family and loved ones.
He was born on January 18, 1957 in Mt. Pleasant, Utah to Derrell and Ethel Mintie Lee Williams. He was the forth of five children. Carl graduated from North Sanpete High School and earned his Associates Degree in Building Technology as Snow College. He served in the Thailand, Bangkok Mission and in various callings in the LDS Church - a Veil Worker at the Provo Temple, Counselor in a Bishopric, Executive Secretary, High Priest Group Leader, High Council member and was a faithful Home Teacher.
He married the love of his life, LuAnn Huggard in the Jordan River Temple on August 12, 1982. They had four beautiful daughters.
He worked for Broderick & Howell Construction in Orem and for the last 23 years he worked at the Utah State Hospital as a carpenter in the maintenance department and then as a Building and Grounds Supervisor.
Carl loved all kinds of sports, woodworking, camping, vacationing, but most of all he loved being with his family. He was a carpenter by trade, and loved building houses and working on projects. But his biggest most memorable project was being the contractor of building his own house with his family in Payson.
He is survived by his wife LuAnn and four daughters, Amy (Cory) Duffin of Layton, Clarissa, Jessica, and Annalee of Payson; Sister, Carol (Gary) LeFevre of Taylorsville; 3 brothers, Gordon of Fountain Green, John (Charlotte) of Payson, and Dave (Debbie) of Glenwood. He is preceded in death by his parents, and father-in-law, Frank Huggard.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, February 27, 2007 at 11:00 am at the Payson 20th ward church located at 482 W. 1400 S., Payson. A viewing will be held one hour prior to the service. Family and friends may call Monday night from 6-8 pm at the same location. Arrangements by SereniCare Funeral Directors. Online condolences may be given at www.serenicare.com. Interment, Payson City Cemetery.
The family would like to thank the Central Utah Clinic, U of U Hospital, Mountain View Hospital staff members and Vista Care Hospice.
