"Chato" Cesar Antonio Castel was called home on March 21st, 2023 after a tragic head-on collision with his momma, Deana. "Chato" was born to Deana Castel (Steggell) and Cesar Castel on November 15th, 2006 in Ogden, Utah. He has been raised most of his life in Ogden but enjoyed visiting his family in Tanaquillo, Michoacan, Mexico and learning more about his Mexican culture.
Toni earned the name, "Chato" because of his small stature. Everyone that knew him, knew he loved cars, especially his Beamer, gaming, BMX, singing and dancing. "Chato" loved to spend time with friends and family, even if was just hanging out and chatting about life. His smile could light up the entire room, right along with his contagious laugh.
"Chato" is survived by his dad, Cesar Castel, sisters, Sarah Sykes (Peter), Tumika Stecklein (Cameron), Jovana Rodriguez (Omar), and brothers, Charlie Wasia, and Oscar Rodriguez (Ramon), Uncle Charlie Steggell (Sarah), cousin Brodee Steggell, Aunt Sherry Kathan (Dennis), Grandma Corabell Haddon, Grandma Irma and Grandpa David Castel, Aunt Soncere Hjelm (Cody), several other Aunts, Uncles, and cousins as well as extended family.
"Chato" was preceeded in death by his grandparents, Veda Pannel & Michael Steggell, Uncles Mikey and Chad Steggell, Aunts Jenny Dodd & Mariah Pannell, and Great Grandpa Chuck Haddon.
