Cherie Lynn Moore

Cherie Lynn Moore (Bogenschutz), our beloved daughter, mother, grandmother, and sister passed away on May 11, 2024 in Salt Lake City, Utah. She was born on December 16, 1952, in Murray, Utah to Frank Bogenschutz and Sheron Steadman Garside.

Her faith was very important to her, and Cherie had an unwavering love for Jesus. She rejoiced in knowing she would be with The Lord and reunited with her Dad in the heavenly realm. Cherie will always be remembered for her incredible thoughtfulness and boundless love. She had a special place in her heart for her grandchildren, whom she absolutely adored. Her gentle and loving nature touched the lives of all who knew her.

She enjoyed watching Law & Order and NCIS while being immersed in her art. Cherie had a unique style of designing intricate patterns, and would often be surrounded by dozens of colored pencils. She loved taking trips to Wendover, Nevada, listening to classic rock cover bands, and she especially liked Bob Dylan and Janis Joplin. Having a green thumb, Cherie took tiny plants given to her and nurtured them for years until they were huge and flourishing.

Cherie passed away peacefully after a brave battle with cancer. She is survived by her children: Tricia Thorpe Stewart, Justin Bogenschutz (Krista), Terri Moore Diviney (Max), and her 11 cherished grandchildren. Additionally, she is survived by her step-mother: Linda Bogenschutz, siblings: Sophie Ulrich, Cathie Flannery, Frank Bogenschutz, as well as her step-brothers: Rob Bryner, and Steve Bryner.
Preceded in death by her parents, and sisters: Cindy Reeves, and Lisa Adams.

In the memories we hold dear, Cherie's legacy of love and kindness will continue to live on. Her presence will be deeply missed but forever treasured by all those fortunate enough to have known her.

Her family will hold a private celebration of her life at a later time.

May she rest in peace knowing she was truly loved and will never be forgotten.
