Christy Lynne Jones peacefully passed away on July 31, 2017, marking the day she could no longer be together with her loved ones. Christy was the youngest child of Bob and Elaine Jones, born on July 28, 1961. During her short stay here on earth, Christy’s main focus was on family and friends. She will always be remembered for the love, kindness, and compassion she showed to others. She was the happiest when she was with her three children and four grandchildren. She loved them unconditionally, and they shared many fun memories together. Chris welcomed people into her home and made them feel loved and accepted. Many people lovingly called her Mama Chris. She went out of her way to make people feel comfortable.

Chris’s loved spread to animals. She enjoyed pampering her three dogs. Chris enjoyed having fun. Besides jumping out of an airplane, she always looked forward to the newest thrill ride at Lagoon. She was always excited to test it out. She loved music and going to concerts. Her tastes in music varied form Heavy Metal to Country Music. She loved posting on Facebook. She shared her life, recipes, personality tests, quotes, funny jokes. She sent birthday wishes to everyone.

Chris spent 14 years at American Express. She was an outstanding employee and made many lasting friendships. In her early 50s, she went back to school and earned her associate degree in medical billing and coding. Her family and friends were proud of her accomplishment.

Christy is survived by her three children: Derek (Amy) Beckman and their two children, Soren and Beats; Brittany Beckman and her daughter, Athena Wolf; Dani (McKay) Voiles and their son Maestro. Her brothers Chuck (Nadine) Jones, Scott (Anna) Jones, Randy Jones, and her sister Sharron (Charlie) Preston and many nieces, nephews, extended family members and dear friends. Two of her closest friends, Looky and Leslie DeJong loved Chris deeply and spent much time with her at the hospital this past month. A Celebration of Life will be held at a future date.

Chris, we will keep you in our hearts and know you will be there forever.
