Collin Gunnar Ihler

Collin Gunnar Ihler , 66, passed away May 11 in his Clearfield, Utah home. He was born March 4, 1948 in Price Utah. He graduated from Jordan High School in 1966 and served a 17 month tour in the Vietnam War. He worked for Jordan School District, Ogden Defense Depot and retired from Hill Air Force Base. He was a very valued employee, often receiving quick promotions. Collin was impeccable at billiards. He'd play against anyone up for the challenge and win! Golf was his favorite hobby. He traveled to many tournaments and spent much of his time on the golf course. No matter his circumstances, he never complained, and very rarely asked for help. By all accounts, his daughter was, not only his pride and joy, but his biggest accomplishment and he lived everyday making sure she knew that. His two granddaughters were his heart, as he lit up even hearing their names. Collin is survived by his daughter Danielle Ihler (Trent Larsen) and granddaughters Beckham Collin Ihler and Nola Crew Ihler. His father Elwood Gunnar Ihler; sisters Karen Martin and Paula Shardlow; his brother Kim Ihler (Margie). He was preceded in death by his mother Joan Ihler. To celebrate Collin's life, a memorial service will be held at Noon on May 21 in the chapel at Utah Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 17111 South Camp Williams Rd, Bluffdale. Friends and family are welcome to come.
