Connie Lou Harper

Connie Lou Stucki Harper was born on June 11, 1932 in Ivins, Utah to Robert and Lillie Stucki. She returned to her Father in Heaven on January 8th, 2024.  She married her sweetheart Muray Harper, in 1953 in the St. George LDS Temple.

She grew up in Overton, Nevada and graduated from Moapa Valley High School where she gained a love for dancing, cheerleading, and performing.

Connie attended LDS Business College in Salt Lake City, Utah. After graduation she worked as an administrative assistant for the Clark County Juvenile Home and also the American Linen Supply Co. Later in life she worked as a florist and a preschool teacher.  She enjoyed both jobs very much.

Throughout her life she lived in Nevada, Utah, California, Georgia, and Alaska.

Her entire life she has had a strong testimony of her Savior Jesus Christ and complete faith in the power of prayer. She always found joy in serving in many positions in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Her greatest joy and accomplishment was being a wife, mother and grandmother. She raised six children and she loved spending time with them and her family. She said if she were given the chance to relive any of her life, she would  go back to when she was raising her kids. She said that was her happiest time.

Connie was a very creative person and enjoyed things like writing poems, scrapbooking, decorating for holidays and making her own birthday cards. She was always singing or humming a tune and enjoyed being a part of a choral group called the Liberty Bells in the 70’s. She loved going to the dance hall with her husband, attending musicals with her sisters, camping with all of her family every summer and reading novels.  She lived life to the fullest and loved to laugh.

Connie was preceded in death by her loving husband  Muray and her parents Robert and Lillie. She is survived by her six children: Alan (Kathie), Shauna (Dave) Meacham, Michael (Debbie), David (Katie), Lisa (Brent) Call and Leana (Scott) Black, her 23 grandchildren, 28 great-grand-children, her two sisters, Dora (Boyd) Lythgoe, and Sharlene (Stan) Blake. She was the life of the party, was deeply loved, and will be greatly missed!
