Craig William Flint

Craig William Flint passed away surrounded by the comfort of his loving wife and three children September 8, 2006. Craig was born April 2, 1953, in Rexburg, Idaho, to William Reed Flint and the late Betty Bradshaw Flint. He spent most of his childhood summers in Hamer, Idaho on the ranch helping his grandfather. While attending Utah State University, Craig worked at Gossner Cheese where he met the love of his life, Vrena Brog. Craig was a devoted husband and father. He considered his children his greatest accomplishment. He was an avid boater and cherished the times spent with his family and friends at Lake Powell. He loved the open road and spent much of his free time riding his Harley. He had a passion for firearms and enjoyed shooting with his son. Many friends were drawn to Craig by his integrity, loyalty, and wit. He was an excellent host to everyone that visited his home and will be remembered for his charisma, humor, and fun-loving spirit. Craig is survived by his wife, Vrena Lee Brog Flint; daughters, Tasa (Travis) Hawkins, Angela; and son, Nathan. He also leaves behind his father, William Reed Flint; brother, Ken (Jeanne) Flint; and sisters, Diane (Steve) Reichard and Sheryl Jasper. He was preceded in death by his mother, Betty Bradshaw Flint; and sister, Sabra Flint Adair. The family extends their gratitude to the many family and friends that were by his side throughout his illness, including his health care providers, particularly his surgeon, Tim Hollingsed, physician assistant, Robyn, and his hospice nurse, Barbara. In honor of Craig, a visitation will be held for family and friends at Gardner Historic Village "The Gathering Place" (1100 West 7800 South, West Jordan), Tuesday Sept. 12th from 5:30-7:30 p.m. The following day, Sept. 13th, a service will be held at First Dam, in Logan, UT, at 11:30 a.m. The procession and interment will follow at the Hyde Park City Cemetery.
