Vivian Lea Newton-Crofts lost her battle with cancer on July 9, 2010, at her home in Cedar City. Vivian was born June 1, 1947, in Sioux City, Iowa, to Donald and Marjorie Lindgren Newton.
She completed, elementary and high school in Sioux City Iowa. She served in the U.S. Air Force from 1965 to 1967, in Alabama. She met her husband, Robert Crofts, in Las Vegas, Nevada, in March of 1988. They were married in Fredonia, Arizona, on October 9, 2001.
Vivian loved to travel and visit her friends no matter where they lived. She loved her cats, growing flowers and the beautiful mountains surrounding Cedar City.
Vivian is survived by her husband, Robert, of Cedar City; mother, Marjorie Newton; brothers, Dennis Newton and Derald (Wendy) Newton, all of Albuquerque, New Mexico; daughters, Melanie, and Michelle (James) McClain. She was preceded in death by her father, Donald Newton, Sr., and a brother Donald Newton, Jr.
A memorial service will be held Friday, July 16, 2010, at 11:00 a.m. at the Three Peaks LDS Chapel, 40 E. Midvalley Rd., Enoch, Utah.
