David Lynn Gibson

David Lynn Gibson, 71, passed away October 2, 2006 in Salt Lake City, Utah as a result of injuries suffered in a fall at his home.
Lynn was born June 10, 1935 in Salt Lake City to Les Gibson and Helen Margaret Reynolds Gibson. Lynn Attended Granite High School and served in the military in Korea.
He married JoAnn Eskelsen (later divorced) and they had two sons; Kevin (JoAnn) Gibson and Larry (Kathy) Gibson.
Lynn is survived by his ex wife, two sons and their wives, a step-daughter, Chris Cooper, numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren, his brothers and sisters Darwin (Linda) Deakins, Dan (Alice) Gibson, Jerry Deakins, Virginia (Richard) Ivis, Marge (Tom) Turner and his companion of 45 years Ralph Pace.
Lynn was preceded in death by his parents, his step-father, Harold Deakins and his other special mother Helen R. Pace.
He was a very talented artist. His sketches and photography were of professional caliber. He worked for many years at Edo Western where he was in charge of the Graphic Arts Department.
Lynn lived a full life He enjoyed his families, His many friends, his world travels, the cabin in Soapstone, the pets and the home he shared with them and his partner.
Their will be no formal service but friends and family are invited to join in an informal viewing to visit, exchange memories of Lynn and share a final goodbye to him. We will meet at 12:00 noon, Friday, October 6, 2006 at the Chapel at 870 East North Union Avenue (7145 South) in Midvale. Casual or Dressy attire, it's up to you. Be comfortable. Lynn will be laid to rest at the Larkin Sunset Gardens in Sandy.
