Delorise Jefferson Carter

On the evening of December 11, 2015, Delorise Jefferson Carter passed away peacefully of natural causes. Delorise will finally be able to join her angels Lila and Melvin Carter in heaven. She was born in Fort Worth, Texas on May 17, 1937 to Estelle and Clarence Jefferson. Surviving Delorise are her son, Tommy "TC" Carter; grandson, Daris Carter; granddaugthers, Tashaya and Tamaria; niece, ruth Taylor; cousin, Brenda Marshall; and a host of family members and friends. We will all be sad without Delorise, but we will always remember her for her smile, gracious heart, and the happiness she made everyone feel that knew her. Delorise retired from the laundry department at the University of Utah Hospital. Then for many years she volunteered at Northwest Community Center where she was known as, "The River's Bend Gambler". She loved Bingo, Crocheting, going to Wendover, and serving others.. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Friday, December 18, 2015 at Unity Babptist Church, 1170 West 10th North, Salt Lake City. Friends and family are invited to come pay respect.
