Dian was born on September 29, 1952, in Boise, Idaho as the oldest of Irel S. and Vera Jones McQueen's five children. Her early years were spent in Boise before the family moved east to Arvada, Colorado. Following her graduation from Arvada High School, she attended Idaho State University, before moving back to Colorado, where she married, and gave birth to a daughter. She later moved with her young daughter to the Logan, Utah area, where she took classes at Utah State University, married for a second time, and added a son to the family. Life took her from Logan, back to Boise, and finally to Taylorsville, Utah. Dian married for the third and final time to Kevin Lee on January 15, 1988 in Logan, Utah. Their marriage was later sealed for time and all eternity on November 23, 1990 in the Logan, Utah Temple. With Kevin came four children from his previous marriage, who would spend summers with the family in Logan and Boise. Dian worked several jobs. Most recently she was employed at the Recreational Properties division of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints until her physical condition required her to take long-term disability leave. Dian served for many years as a Primary teacher in the Westbrook 6th ward of the LDS Church. She loved her interactions with children, and treated all children as if they were her own grandchildren. She enjoyed spending her time scrap booking, crafting, and doing various family history related work. Dian is survived by her husband, Kevin; siblings: Verl (Mary) McQueen of Cedar Hills, Utah; Keith (Sharon) McQueen of Orem, Utah; Owen McQueen of Menlo Park, California; Lora Lee (James) Park of Independence, Missouri; children: Heather (John) Cummins of Meridian, Idaho; Sean (Kari) Lewis of Ogden, Utah; step-children: Kevalin Skorce of Rock Springs, Wyoming; Gordon Lee of Boise, Idaho; Dustin Lee of Rock Springs, Wyoming; Kamay Christensen of Rock Springs, Wyoming; 10 grandchildren; and 1 great grandchild.
