Dona Loeta Hobbs

Dona L. Hobbs, our loving mother, grandma and sister, age 73, passed away November 27, 2006. It is fitting she passed during the poinsettia season as this was her very favorite flower.
Dona was born May 22, 1933 to Willis and Loeta Tidwell in Richfield, Utah. She spent her youth in Nephi and graduated from Juab High School. She married James G. Hobbs on March 9, 1952. Dona had many jobs throughout her life but her most cherished was that of Grandmaa€"and she was excellent at it.
She loved her children and grandchildren equally and loved to spoil them on birthdays, holidays and all throughout the year. She supported her grandchildren in all their endeavors, never missing an event or special occasion in their lives. She blessed her family with her unconditional love throughout her life and was always willing to help those who needed it. She was known for her cards, notes and poems and they always came with money tucked inside. Grandma was the one to take the grandkids to McDonald's, Lagoon, the movies, Tilt arcade, Peter Piper Pizza, shopping and all the things that Mom and Dad didn't do. She loved to have sleepovers and made Mickey Mouse pancakes and Tang for breakfast. She leaves behind a legacy of beautiful memories that her family will hold dear to their hearts.
She is survived by her son, James (Laura) Hobbs and daughter JoAnn (Jeffrey) Waldram who was her loving caretaker for the last three years of her life. She leaves behind a large posterity of 10 grandchildren- James, Lisa, Jacy, Tammy, Brody, Glenda, Julie, Bradley, Jessica and Jory and 17 great-grandchildren-Annalese, Caleb, Erika, Eliza, Ashton, Lily, Joshua, Ian, Carson, Evan, Rebekah, James, Emmalee, Jacob, Jonas, Whitney and Paisley. She is also survived by her sister JoAnn (Marlon) Lloyd. Preceded in death by her husband Jim Hobbs who stole her heart with a quarter tip at the Nephi Snack Shack. Special thanks to the angels of Willowcreek Hospice-Kathy, Kris, Alan, Leslie and to the special neighbors and the members of the Murray Highland Ward.
Services 11 am Friday December 1st at Highland LDS Ward 932 W. Greenoaks Dr. (5900 So) Murray. Viewing at the church one hour prior. Interment Larkin Sunset Gardens. 1950 E. 10600 So. Sandy.
