Edna Ernestine Emmons passed away quietly and peacefully with her family at her side Monday, June 26, 2006 in Orem, Utah. She was 89 years old. Edna was the 10th child of 11 born of Joseph Henry Kelly and Martha Ann Goddard. She was born February 7, 1917 in Ellistown, Mississippi. Most of Edna's early life was lived in Mississippi and married James Walter Huffstatler, Sr. (Deceased) and later moved to southern California where she raised 4 children. Her children are Shirley Frances Rafdal (deceased), Thomas Liddell Huffstatler (deceased), Jacque Linda Galpin, and James Walter Huffstatler, Jr. Later Edna Marries Robert Emmons (Deceased) and has a step son, Robert Emmons. Edna enjoyed a long full life. She was an excellent homemaker, wife, and mother. She loved sewing quilts that her mother and grandmother taught her, and sewing for her children and grandchildren. She loved camping, square dancing, gardening, and could make anything grow. Family gatherings were the highlight of her life. She was loved and cherished by all her family and will greatly be missed. Edna is survived by Jacque Galpin (Roy), Grants Pass, Oregon, James Walter Huffstatler, Jr. (Terry), American Fork, Utah, Robert Emmons (Sallie), Orem, Utah, Ted Rafdal, Son in law, Simi Valley, California, Barbra Huffstatler, Daughter in law, Coarsegold, California, 19 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren. "Life is not measured by the amount of breaths that we take but by the moments that take our breath away." Mom/Granny we love you! Funeral Services will be held in Westlake Village, California on Monday July 3, 2006.
