Edward Shell

Edward Shell was born in Pineville Kentucky to Cora & Jim Shell. He was an Army Veteran of WWII. He was 9th of 11 brothers and sisters. He has one surviving brother, Robert and his wife Mary Shell. He married Gertrude Konecko on October 19, 1940. They had 2 daughters, Beverly Ann and Barbara Jean.
He was a machine repairman for Curtis Wright Aeronautics and Nabisco Bakery Co. until his retirement in 1982. He moved to Las Cruces, New Mexico until his wife passed away in 1990. He then lived in Roswell, New Mexico on his ranch for 10 years enjoying his farm animals and companion dogs Milo and Sam. He was an expert rifleman, sharpshooter, fisherman and hunter. He loved working with his hands by painting on canvas and reverse art painting on glass, making jewelry from rough stones and mechanical repair work. He also loved gardening.
In 2004 he moved to Utah and lived with his daughter, Beverly and her husband Artie of Payson, Utah. He is survived by his daughters, Bev (Artie) and Barbara (Fred); grandchildren, Janice, Diana (Jeff), Arthur III (Iris), and Eddie; great grandchildren, Melissa (Isaias), Myah, and Andrew.
The family wishes to thank Alpine Hospice for their wonderful care and tenderness; especially Janet RN, Susan CNA, and Sandra CNA. They also want to thank all the wonderful people at Spanish Fork Care Center where he lived since September 29, 2006 until his death.
