Eli Ernesto Martinez passed away September 30, 2021 in South Ogden, Utah. He was born August 5, 1954 in Ogden, Utah to Alfredo Martinez and Viola Barela. He graduated from Layton High School and Weber State University. On May 21, 1977 he married Bernice Martinez in Layton, Utah. Together they had two children; Son, Nathan (Jessica) Martinez and Daughter, Cami Martinez.

Eli was retired from L3 Communications where he was a Quality and Manufacturing Engineer.

Eli loved playing and learning about Golf. He enjoyed walking his dogs and visiting with other dog walkers. Was an assistant Tennis Coach for the girl's team at Morgan High School. He enjoyed traveling.

To know Eli was to be friends with Eli. He had a way of making everyone feel comfortable and welcomed.

He was a loving husband, devoted and loving father and grandfather. He was always very positive and supportive of his family. He cherished the time he could spend with his family members and they in turned loved spending time with him.

Eli is survived by his wife and children, his brother: David Martinez and his grandchildren: Antonio, Kaya, Secora and Jackson. He is proceeded in death: His parents, his brother Isaac, his sister Alvi and her husband Brent Baker

Burial Ceremony will be at the Mountain Green Cemetery, address 5055 W. Old Hwy Road, Mountain Green. Ceremony will be October 16, 2021 at 1:00pm.
