Erik Charles Hiller

Erik Charles Hiller, a radiant light in the lives of those fortunate to know him, passed away unexpectedly in his sleep on February 1, 2024, just a few days before his 44th birthday (February 4, 1980). Erik's love for his relatives shone brightly through his actions and caring nature. He possessed an unparalleled willingness to go above and beyond for those in need, making everyone around him feel like a special person.

Erik's vibrant presence was the heartbeat of numerous family adventures, where he shared his wisdom with nieces and nephews during fishing trips, fearlessly assumed the role of the Oreo filling on a three-person tube at the lake, and spun tales around the campground fire. His infectious smile and zest for life were constant companions, especially when immersed in the great outdoors alongside family, illuminating his joyful spirit.

One standout memory etched in the hearts of those who knew him was the countless hours spent fishing with Erik. His determination and camaraderie during a trip to East Canyon symbolized his character. Despite an initial setback, Erik insisted on returning the next day until he caught a fish. The bond forged between family extended beyond fishing to encompass laughter during snowmobiling adventures and shared moments installing rain gutters. Erik's boundless generosity and love reached a pinnacle when, just a few months ago, he offered his kidney to his brother in need, expressing his love and the desire for another fishing trip in a sincere gesture. His patient guidance and infectious passion for nature have left an indelible mark, ensuring that every venture into the great outdoors by his loved ones becomes a tribute to the enduring legacy of Erik Hiller.

Erik is survived by his children Taylor (Vienna), Hunter, and Emma; his parents Craig and Holly; siblings Mike (Maile), David, Heather (JR), Natalie (David), Joe (Mariel), Jonathan (Kjarinda), and Andrew (Amy). A celebration of life will be held in his honor on Friday the 9th from 2:30-4:00 at the LDS church building located at 1454 West 13200 South in Riverton, Utah. In place of flowers, a contribution towards funeral costs would be appreciated.
