Ermalinda Briseño

Ermalinda Briseño, beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, passed away on June 16, 2025, in Salt Lake City, Utah, at the age of 80.

Erma was born on March 6, 1945 in Fruita, Colorado to Estan and Clara Archuleta. Erma leaves behind her husband of 48 years, Juan Briseño, her children: Gloria Valdez (Donald), Melissa Espinoza (Fernando), and Jose Briseño (Jenifer), 10 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren, her sisters Emily LeMay, Manuelita Martinez, Jule Archuleta and Frieda Archuleta, her brothers John Archuleta (Shirley), Larry Archuleta (Veronica), and Tony Archuleta (Charlotte) as well as many nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Estan and Clara Archuleta, her sister, Angel Leola Archuleta, and her brothers, Alfonso Archuleta (Ruby), Adolph Archuleta, Orlando Archuleta (Jeanette), Horacio Archuleta, and Lloyd Archuleta.

Erma loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren who adored her and will always cherish the memories they shared with her. She loved to play cards and bingo around the table and go to the casino. She enjoyed Elvis Presley and watching baseball, and her KC chiefs. Erma was a devoted mother who always put her family first. She was known for her kindness, selflessness, and unwavering love. She was a source of strength and support for her children and grandchildren.

Erma will be dearly missed by all who knew her. Her legacy of love and compassion will live on in the hearts of those she touched. Erma will be laid to rest at Scofield Cemetery. May she rest in peace.

Erma nació el 6 de marzo del 1945 en Fruita, Colorado, hija de Estan y Clara Archuleta. Erma deja a su esposo de 48 años, Juan Briseño; a sus hijos: Gloria Valdez (Donald), Melissa Espinoza (Fernando) y José Briseño (Jenifer); a sus 10 nietos y 6 bisnietos; a sus hermanas: Emily LeMay, Manuelita Martínez, Jule Archuleta y Frieda Archuleta; a sus hermanos: John Archuleta (Shirley), Larry Archuleta (Veronica) y Tony Archuleta (Charlotte); así como a numerosos sobrinos y sobrinas.

Le precedieron en la muerte sus padres, Estan y Clara Archuleta; su hermana, Angel Leola Archuleta; y sus hermanos, Alfonso Archuleta (Ruby), Adolph Archuleta, Orlando Archuleta (Jeanette), Horacio Archuleta y Lloyd Archuleta.

A Erma le encantaba pasar tiempo con sus hijos, nietos y bisnietos, quienes la adoraban y siempre atesoran los recuerdos que compartieron con ella. Le encantaba jugar a las cartas y al bingo en la mesa y ir al casino. Disfrutaba el cantante Elvis Presley y ver béisbol y sus KC chiefs. Erma fue una madre dedicada que siempre priorizó a su familia. Se destacó por su bondad, generosidad y amor inquebrantable. Fue una fuente de fortaleza y apoyo para sus hijos y nietos.

Todos los que la conocieron extrañarán profundamente a Erma. Su legado de amor y compasión perdurará en los corazones de quienes la conocieron. Erma será sepultada en el Cementerio Scofield. Que descanse en paz.

El velatorio se llevará a cabo el 26 de junio, de 6-8 de la tarde, en la Funeraria City View, 1001 E 11th Ave, Salt Lake City, UT 84103.

La misa se celebrará el 27 de junio, a las 11 de la mañana en la Iglesia de Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe, 257 North 700 West, Salt Lake City, Utah 84116.

El entierro se llevará a cabo el 27 de junio, a las 3 de la tarde, en Cementerio Scofield.
