Gayle Lynn Grant Warner passed away March 25, 2026 from complications from Pancreatic Cancer. She was born June 30, 1954 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Ned Grant and LaRue Solomon. She graduated from Granger High School in 1972. She worked in the convention industry from 1990 to 2022 starting as a labor coordinator and finishing her career as a Teamster building booths on the show floor. She was well known and loved by everyone in the industry.

She was best known for her love of family, her award-winning 1979 VW Super Beetle, and her passion for holiday decorating—most notably her display of over 800 Hallmark ornaments. Her home was a place of warmth, homemade fudge and cookies, and many memorable family vacations that always included some chaos.


She found Joy in gardening and was always coming up with the next major home improvement. Shopping and finding discount bargains were her favorite outings.


Some of Gayle's proudest accomplishments included mastering the convention industry and writing policies still used on the show floor today. Also an important milestone was being a grandmother to five beautiful grandchildren.

Gayle is survived by her husband, Scott Warner; daughter, Jennifer Black; grandsons, John and Jayden Lockwood. Daughter, Cheyenne (Michael) Wagner; grandson, Josef Wagner, granddaughter, LaRue Wagner. Mother-in-law Marlene Warner, Sister-in-law, DeAnn Grant; stepson, Nate (Christi) Warner; grandson Steele Warner. And 19 nieces and nephews, 23 great-nieces and nephews and 9 great-great-nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by; brothers, Craig and Bob Grant; father, Ned Grant; mother, LaRue Solomon Grant; stepson, Steven Warner; and father-in-law George Warner.

There will be a funeral service/viewing held Friday, April 3, 2026 from 4:00 - 6:00 pm at Historic City View, 1001 E 11th Avenue, Salt Lake City, Utah 84103.
