George A Abeyta

George A Abeyta, died on June 13, 2015. He was born to Ray and Irene Abeyta on July 2, 1939. He graduated from Carbon High School in 1956. He and his wife, Vivien, whom he met in Price, Utah, were married for 47 years. He served in the Utah National Guard and was a supervisor for the Salt Lake City Public Works Department. George A Abeyta loved going on cruises with Vivien and trips to Wendover. He could often be found playing video games, watching old western movies, and playing guitar. He was an avid fan of the Dodgers and the Green Bay Packers. He is survived by his son, Kevin (Donna) Abeyta; his sister, Lorraine (Ken) Reyes; brother, Richard (Denise) Abeyta; granddaughter, Samantha (Rod) Abeyta Gatewood; and great-grandchildren, Gabriel and Jaylon Gatewood. A Memorial Mass will be held for George A Abeyta at 3:00 PM on Friday, June 19, 2015 at St. Therese of the Child Jesus Catholic Church, 624 W. 7870 S., Midvale, UT. Inurnment will be in Murray City Cemetery.
