George Cain Burroughs

George Cain Burgess Burroughs was born on October 17, 1994 in Provo Utah to Julie Lynn Burgess. He passed away unexpectedly yet peacefully at home on March 22, 2026 in West Jordan, Utah.

George lived in Utah the entirety of his life and loved the opportunities he had to experience the great outdoors. Whether he was driving, hiking or camping, he simply thrived while exploring all of the beauty nature had to offer. Time spent in the outdoors brought a deep peace to his soul which he experienced in few other places.

George was very fortunate to be loved deeply by two families. His family of birth, the Burgess family, spent much of their time together when George was young supporting each other and assisting Julie in raising Junior, George and Jose. George spent a great deal of his life attending to the needs of his mother and trying to bring happiness and joy to her life.

As a young adult George met the Burroughs family through his brother Jose and was able to share many new adventures with them. In 2015, George was fortunate enough to add another set of parents, John and Jan, as well as two more brothers, Jake and Jared, and a little sister, Janessa, to his family. Both of his families absolutely loved him and enjoyed his quick smile, his infectious laughter and his mischievously playful nature. George brought a great amount of joy to the lives of those he loved and who loved him. George was also very deeply loved by Sydney Conine and her two children Naomi and Christopher who he simply adored.

George was preceded in death by all of his grandparents from both families as well as his brother Luis Juilian Fermin Burgess. He is survived by his mother Julie Burgess of West Jordan, Utah; his parents John and Jan Burroughs of Orem, Utah, and his siblings Jose Fermin, Jacob Burroughs, Jared Burroughs and Janessa Burroughs, all of Orem, Utah. 

A celebration of George’s life will be held on April 10, 2026 with details to follow.
