Giovanny Delgado Quirarte (Gio) was born on August 2, 1988 in Los Angeles and was taken from us on August 31, 2025.
Gio looked like an intimidating person to those who didn’t know him because his voice was deep and loud and he was very tall, bigger than most. But those who did know him, knew that Gio was very kind and sweet. He had a big heart and even in his times of struggle, he was very generous and cared for everyone around him. Gio spoke with pride in his voice and he walked with strength in his feet, he was confident because he feared nothing and no one.
Gio did not graduate from a high school but he was very smart and educated. He read lots of books and consumed knowledge extraordinarily well. Gio wanted to see the world so he acquired his CDL on May 12th, 2025 to be a truck driver. Though he never got that chance, he did work as a laborer in different states and got to see a little bit more of his country. He was also an amazing artist who loved to color and draw and was able to depict what he was imagining all the time.
Gio is survived by his parents Maria Delgado de Quirarte and Jacobo Quirarte, his son Lorenzo (Enzo) Elsbury Quirarte, his brothers Jacob Quirarte, Freddy Quirarte, Jezreel Quirarte, his sister Kimberly Quirarte, his nephews Damien Quirarte and Israel Quirarte, and his nieces Mariana Quirarte and Viviana Quirarte. He is preceded in heaven by his grandparents Ramon & Carolina Quirarte, Paulin Delgado and Guadalupe Gonzales.
Although we are saddened, we will celebrate his life and honor him in death. We thank you Gio for every laugh, every tear, every memory, every piece of advice, every favor, and every moment we all shared together. We are stronger because of you and we will miss you every single day. We love you always Giovanny. May you enjoy walking the crystal roads of heaven.
We will honor and say farewell to Gio on Friday, September 19, 2025, from 12:00pm-8:00pm at Peel Funeral Home, 8525 W Magna Main St., Magna, Utah.
He will be laid to rest the following day, September 20, 2025, at 12:00pm-2:00pm at Taylorsville City Cemetery, 4575 S Redwood Rd, Taylorsville, UT.
