Harold Burton Jensen

"Grandpa Buddy"
Our beloved father, grandpa, brother and friend returned home to his Heavenly Father on January 24, 2007 after an extended illness. Dad was born to Allston Moroni Jensen and Amelia Larsen on September 28, 1927 in Mantua, Utah. He grew up in Mantua working with his father in the beet fields and on the dairy farm. He received his education in a two-room school house in Mantua until he was old enough to go to Box Elder High in Brigham City. He joined the US Navy in 1945. After his service, he married Annabel Marriott on April 19, 1949. They had two daughters, Fleurette and Debbie. They were later divorced. He then married Carma Dipoma on September 10, 1954. They had one child, Vickie. They were also later divorced.
Dad was a traveling salesman for Walgreens and lived in Colorado and New Mexico. He was an avid reader, fisherman, and loved to golf. One year he bragged that he golfed every day that year, regardless of the elements! After retirement he moved to Utah to live with his daughters. His grandson started calling him "Grandpa Buddy", and he was a "buddy" to everyone he met. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.
Harold is survived by his daughters Fleurette (Dennis) Martinez, Hooper; Debra (Brent) Williams, Ogden; and Vickie Sikirdji, Maui, Hawaii; step-son John (DeAnn) Talbot, Ridgecrest, California; and step-daughter Jeanne Paquette, Sacramento, California. Grandchildren, Shane and Kevin Welsh, Ryan, Tyler, Jeannette (Wallace) and Adrienne Williams, Isaiah Jensen, Hilary (Janes), David and Kelly Rivera, and Casey (Dubbs) and Reggie Paquette; 13 great-grandchildren, one brother Marcus (Mary) Jensen and two sisters, Janice (Don) Clawson and Ora Owens. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother-in-law Lester Owens and step-son Joe Paquette.
