Harold Clark Johnson

Harold Clark Johnson passed away on January 6, 2007 in Springville, Utah. He was born January 23, 1918 to Willis Kelsey Johnson and Eva Clark in Springville. Harold graduated from Springville High School and later attended Utah State University. He married Pauline Lerwill on April 28, 1945, their marriage was solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple on October 13, 1950.
Harold served 5 years in the US Air Force with the 7th Bomber Group achieving the rank of Master Sergeant during WWII in the China, Burma and India Campaign.. He enjoyed carpentry and spent his working years as a contractor. Harold served as a Stake Missionary and also as Stake Mission President.
Dad had a great fondness and love for nature. As a family we enjoyed his wonderful sense of humor and musical talents.
He is survived by his wife Pauline, children; Carolyn (Mike) Taylor, Springville; Suanne (Blake) Bird, St. George; Cathy Hurst, Las Vegas, NV; Sherry (Jeff) Seamons, Provo; Julie (Dean) Miller, Huntington; John (Lara) Johnson, Provo; 21 grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren.
He was reunited with his parents, 4 brothers, 3 sisters, 2 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, January 10 at 12:00 at the Edgemont South Stake Center, 350 East 2950 North, Provo, Utah. A viewing will be held at the same location from 11:00 - 11:45a.m.where family and friends may call. Interment in the Springville Evergreen Cemetery.
The family would like to give special thanks to all those who helped care for our Dad, especially the staff of Comfort Care Hospice and Art City Nursing and Rehab.
