With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved Ilija Obradovic on June 24th at the age of 71.
Ilija was born on March 17, 1954, to parents Milan and Milka Obradovic, in Brnjeuska. Ilija was a devoted father, husband, brother, uncle, and grandpa.
He always put family first; his life was one of love, selflessness, and quiet strength.
Ilija found joy in the simple things, like spending time with his grandkids and sharing his craft of curating delicious foods. He was always known for his great advice and work ethic.
His love will be carried forward by his wife Andjelka Obradovic, daughter Milana Jovovic with spouse Mladen Jovovic, and son Milan Obradovic; his brother Nikola Obradovic with spouse Milana Obradovic; his grandchildren Tijana and Stefan Jovovic, and Anastasija Matijevic; his nieces Aleksandra Matijevic and Nikolina Obradovic; as well as many extended family.
Services will be held on June 28, 2025 in his memory; a viewing will be held at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Cathedral (279 S 300 W, Salt Lake City, UT 84101) from 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
Funeral services will be held on June 28, 2025, at Mount Olivet Cemetery (1342 E 500 S, Salt Lake City, UT 84102) beginning at 1 p.m. A luncheon will be held after at the Serbian Orthodox Church (1606 S 1000 W, Salt Lake City, UT 84104). All are welcome to attend.
