Jacinto Cardenas

Jacinto Cardenas, 91, passed away peacefully on Monday, December 9, 2013. He was born September 11, 1922 in Fredricksburg, Texas to Jose Angel Cardenas and Atanacia Rivera. He served his country in the US Army in England and France from December 28, 1943 to August 8, 1945 and was awarded three bronze service stars. He married the love of his life, Carolina Sifuentes, on December 13, 1959. Together they raised a family of three children; two boys and one girl. He retired from Morton Thiokol. Jacinto loved to play pool and spend time with his kids and grandkids. He was the happiest surrounded by family and friends, but his great grandkids brought him the most joy. He is survived by his brother Sam Cardenas and sister Senorina Garza; his son David Cardenas, his daughter Virginia Argote; and 11 grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. He is preceeded in death by his parents, his loving wife Carolina, and his son Gregory Cardenas. A viewing will be held at St. Mary's Catholic Church 4050 S 3900 W West Haven, UT 84401 on Saturday December 21, 2013 at 12 p.m. Cremation in the care of SereniCare Funeral Home. The family would like to send a special thanks to the staff of Sunshine Nursing Home.
