Jack Shane Richards

Jack Shane Richards, beloved father, son, brother, and uncle left his earthly home at the age of 61 on Sunday, January 2, 2022. Born January 15, 1960, he is survived by his mother, Vivian Diana Sargent; stepfather, James Francis Sargent; stepmother, Terry Richards; son, Jake Stone Richards; sisters, Sylvia Rae Garfinkle and Whitney Channing Sargent; and nephew and nieces, Jonas, Jaye, and Ruby Huff. He is preceded in death by his father, Jack Richards and stepfather, Jay Garfinkle.

Jack Shane, an athlete at heart, lived with a zeal for adventure, and loved his family with equal passion. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.

A celebration of life will be held on his 62nd birthday, Saturday, January 15, 2022 from 1:00 – 3:00 p.m. at Serenicare Funeral Services, 2281 South West Temple, Salt Lake City, Utah, 84115. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Humane Society of Utah are appreciated.
