Jacob was born on Oct 1st, 1974 in American Fork, Utah to Sandy Lassen and Kim Walker. He lived most of his life in Utah, although he also spent some time in California and Pennsylvania. He had a great love of animals and had multiple “fur babies”.
He is survived by his grandmother, Carol; mother, Sandy (Rick); sister, Jessica (Jake); honorary brother, Max; nephew, Brayden; niece, Samantha; uncle, Mike; cousin, Calab (Nicole); cousin, BrookeLynn (Michael); cousin, Kimberlie (Jacob Brad); cousin, Shayliah (Alec); cousins once-removed, Kennedy, Holland, Gavin, Eloralynn, and Aria. His fur babies Leo, Spike, Buffy, Hope, Jazz Mini, and Faith also survive him.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Clyde; father, Kim; aunt, Mary Ann.
Jacob was a very thoughtful and caring person. He loved his family more than anything and looked forward to family get-togethers and other events that brought everyone together. In recent years his life was devoted to being a caregiver to his grandparents. His creativity and love of family could be seen in many ways, including the inventive way that he set up his trailer for his cats, he really figured out amazing ways to utilize space and give them a very versatile home.
Jacob was an extremely talented artist who did everything from drawing artwork to creating beautiful jewelry. He also self-published a 4 book supernatural series called “Salt Lake After Dark”.
Jacob was a generous and loving person who would give you the shirt off his back without a second thought. He would often dedicate a large amount of time and effort searching for or creating thoughtful gifts for his loved ones.
In honoring Jacobs's memory, we celebrate a life well-lived and cherish the moments we shared. May he rest in peace and continue to inspire us with his legacy of unconditional love, hard work, and creativity. Jacob will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who knew him.
Services will be held at 1485 N 800 W in Orem (Church Building) on Tuesday, July 2nd at 2 pm. Jacob was an informal person, as such, we invite you to come in your casual clothes (shorts and T-shirts are perfect!).
