James Otoniel Garza

James Otoniel Garza, died on December 2, 2017 in Salt Lake City, Utah. He was born in Salt Lake City on March 23, 1975.

James was a finish carpenter installing hardwood floors. His passion was writing and creating music. His love was his children. Hobbies included: fishing, hiking, running, weight lifting, and simply being outdoors.

Surviving James are children: Eddie Roman Garza, Victor Rey Garza, Carlos James Garza, and James Matthew Garza; his father, Roman Garza; his mother, Margaret Espinoza (Sergio) Gonzalez; sisters: Maria Inez Medina, Dalila (Shane) Robertson and Elianette Gonzalez; 4 grandchildren; uncles, aunts, and many cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, uncles, aunts, and cousins.

James will be remembered by the many that he left behind. Loved ones who have stood beside him to give help in all possible ways. We love you and may the pearly gates open to receive this special loved one, James.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held for James at 10:00 AM on Friday, December 8, 2017 at St. Therese of the Child Jesus Catholic Church, 7832 North Allen Street, Midvale, Utah, 84047, followed by a Rosary. A time for visitation and sharing support will be held at the church on Friday from 9:00 AM until the time of the Mass. Interment will be in Larkin Sunset Gardens, 1950 East Dimple Dell Road, Sandy, Utah, 84092. Contributions for expenses and care are being accepted.
