On September 13, 2006, our sweet mother Jayne peacefully left this earth to join her Heavenly Father and all her dear family and friends who were waiting for her return with open arms. Jayne was born February 24, 1920 in Washington D.C. to Edna Josephine (Mulloy) and William E. Higgs. She grew up in Washington D.C. and Maryland. She married Connie Cunningham Norris in 1934 later they divorced and she married Ronald Neil Flygare in 1945 and moved to Lehi, Utah. Ronald passed away in 1954 leaving Jayne to raise their six children. In 1963 she married Raymond Woodward and they had two more children. Jayne loved life and everyone she met. Her outgoing personality and compassion for others was evident in all she did. Jayne loved to sew and made many beautiful quilts, embroidered dishtowels and numerous other items. Jayne became a volunteer at Orem Community Hospital when it first opened in 1981 and volunteered well over 20,000 hours by the time she was forced to semi-retire in 2005. Jayne was proceeded in death by her husband Raymond and is survived by her brother William Robert (Vivian) Higgs and her eight children Robert (Frankie Jo)Flygare of Lehi; Jackie (Dean) Smith of American Fork; Susan (Ken) Staley of Needles, California; Rhonda (Kelly) Sutherland of Draper; David (Bille) Flygare of Utah; Pamela Pederson of Orem; Debbie Woodward of Provo and Kathy (Troy) Palmer of Orem; 23 Grandchildren, 47 Great-Grandchildren; and five Great-Great-Grandchildren. We would like to express a special thanks to the wonderful staff of Comfort Care Hospice, Cheryl Rowe, Donna Holte and Lisa Henrichsen for the love and care they gave to our mother these past few months. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, September 19, 2006 at 11am at the Vineyard 2nd Ward, 800 S. Geneva Rd., in Orem with a viewing one hour prior to services and a viewing on Monday evening, September 18th, 2006 at the Suncrest 10th Ward, 90 N. 600 W., Orem from 6-8pm. Interment will be at the Lehi Cemetery.
