Jean Edna Seabrook

Jean Edna Childers Seabrook January 20,1926 -- January 25, 2013

There is a sweet rush of peace and my soul is at home in God.

Safe and secure, I rest in God's peace ...

Jean Childers Seabrook passed away On January 25, 2013; shortly after celebrating her 87th birthday. She was born January 20, 1926; and was raised and educated in Upland, California. Jeannie was a devoted wife and such a loving mother. She's "Home at last," rejoicing as she reunites with her parents Marion and Ruby Brown, her brother Frankie, her sweetheart Buford and other dear family and friends. Mom was a creative homemaker and seamstress, and was very fond of working in her gardens and puttering outdoors. After Dad's death in 1963, she worked at the local photography studio in Upland and raised her two girls. She built a lovely cottage behind her home to care for her parents as they aged. In her retirement she relocated to Desert Hot Springs with her daughter, Connie, who has been Mom's loving companion and caregiver for the past 23 years. Mom was generous and faithful to our Lord and Savior, and she lived by example-- an inspiring testimony of her goodness. Jeannie is dearly loved by her two daughters Connie Kooyman of Desert Hot Springs, CA; and Jan Stoddard of Washington City, Utah. She is also survived by her niece Patti Ann Gilmore (Fred), Kerrville, Texas; Norman (Darlene) Brown of Chino, CA; and her special Kentucky family. Mom was also very special to Trudy and Vince Marino of Desert Hot Springs. Arrangements for the family have been entrusted to the care of SereniCare Funeral Home. The family extends sincere appreciation to the Comfort Cottage in Washington City for the daily love and assistance they gave Mom, and to the Alliance Hospice team. Mom's life will be forever celebrated.

For God alone my soul waits in silence ... On God rests my deliverance and my honor; my mighty rock, my refuge is in God.

Psalm 62:5,7
