Glenda J. (Jeanie) Gardner Barnes Eggli Our beloved wife, mother, grandmother and friend, Jeanie Barnes Eggli, 62, died Tuesday, February 11, 2014. She was born, March 27, 1951 in Ogden, Utah a daughter of Max and Glenda Gardner. She married Frank M. Barnes Dec 2, 1971, in the Salt Lake LDS temple. They have four children: Brian, Stephanie, Natalie and Paul. Frank died in 1991after battling cancer. She married Robert Eggli on March 23, 2011 She graduated from Clearfield High School 1969. She enjoyed reading, movies, and spending time with her kids and grandkids. She worked at Davis School District and as a beautician for many years. She was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. She served as the Relief Society President among holding many other callings throughout her life. She had a strong testimony of the gospel. Surviving are her husband, Robert of Layton; two sons and two daughters: Brian (Anne) Barnes of Willard, Stephanie (Joey) Mauer of Keller, Texas, Natalie (John) Owen of Roy, and Paul Barnes of Layton; three step children: Jennifer (Matt) Johnson of Syracuse, Andrea Child of Roy, and Christina (Mikk) Blickfeldt of Hooper; and 11 grandchildren. Her husband, children, and grandchildren were her life and love. Jeanie is also survived by her mother Glenda Gardner of Clearfield; and four sisters: Nancy (Larry) Mills of Syracuse, Debbie(Larry) Puly of Roy, Denise(Lou) Call of Hooper, and Jerilyn Woodbury of Westpoint. She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Barnes, and her father, Max Gardner. Friends may call from 10-11am on Saturday, February 15, 2014 at the Oak Forest Church, 2200 N 2250 E, Layton, Utah. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, February 15, 2014 at 12 p.m. at the Clinton Cemetery, 800 N 800 W. All friends and family are invited to attend.
