Our beloved mother and grandmother, Jenny Henry, 91, died peacefully in Phoenix, Arizona on April 25, 2014. She was born in Covington, Texas on April 2, 1923 to Elmer and Laura Harper. Jenny married Billy Burke Henry on July 5,1942, in Floydada, Texas. Billy served in the military and Jenny proudly supported him in his service to our country. Jenny was an incredible cook and loved to serve meals to her family and friends. She was a gifted golfer and bridge player. Her family will always remember the wonderful Christmas seasons they spent together and that their mother and grandmother was an incredible teacher. Jenny was an awarded beauty school graduate and obtained her Texas Real Estate License, later working as a realtor and in sales. She was the Top Sales Woman for Senter Gallery of Homes and S&Q Clothiers. Jenny is survived by her sister Joyce Harville (Don); niece Christy; nephews Steve and Scott; children Billy Douglas Henry (Ann) and Jennifer Kaye (Henry) Smith; granddaughters Kelly Smith, Marci Marciano and Amy Mariucci (Tom); grandsons Doug Henry (Chrystal), Justin Henry (Rachel) and Greg Henry and family; great-granddaughters Michaela, Kylie and Emi; and great-grandson Nicholas. She is preceded in death by her brothers Bud and Edwin Harper and grandson Brad Henry. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, May 1, 2014 at the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona in Phoenix. Arrangements were made by SereniCare Funeral Home. The family wishes to thank Phoenix Mountain Nursing Home and SereniCare for the care provided in Jenny's behalf.
