Jill Ann Jorgensen Brown

Jill Ann Jorgensen Brown passed away peacefully in her sleep on the morning of Wednesday, November 22, 2006.
Jill was born April 4, 1947 in Salt Lake City to Harvey and Betty Jorgensen. She graduated from Olympus High School and continued her education at the Salt Lake Community College and Diablo Valley College, where she studied art. She had a passion for art and poetry, and her paintings and poems were enjoyed by many. Jill married her sweetheart, William Brown, in 1984 and their marriage was later solemnized in the Bountiful LDS Temple.
Jill lived her life for her family; she was always involved in their lives. As a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, she had a firm testimony of the Savior. She was beautiful and unique, never afraid to speak her mind or to be herself. Her sense of humor and smile brought joy and laughter to those around her. Despite the seemingly insurmountable obstacles with which she struggled in her life, she was able to endure well to the end. While our loss is great, we look forward to seeing her again some day. Jill is survived by her husband, William Brown; four children, Alexander (Elizabeth) Kennedy, Sorena (Darren) Winder, Angelique Brown, and Vincent Brown (currently serving an LDS mission in Charlotte, NC); eight grandchildren; mother, Betty Tyler; siblings, Terry Jorgensen, Tandra Jorgensen, Michael Tyler, Phillip Tyler, Sherry Matin and Susan Tyler. She was preceded in death by her father, Harvey Jorgensen; stepfather, Phillip Tyler; and sister, Sandy Patton. In addition to those persons mentioned above, Jill had a large extended family and many friends.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, November 30, 2006, at the Whittier LDS Ward, 1515 South 200 East, Salt Lake City, as follows: an open house from 9:30 to 10:30 AM; a viewing and prayer for family members from 10:30 to 11:00 AM; and the funeral starting at 11:00 AM. Intermenta€"Murray City Cemetery.
