Joel H Lindhardt

Joel H Lindhardt returned to his Heavenly Father on December 30th, 2012. He had just turned 94 and was all give out, run down, tired, pale, white, weak and hungry. He had a 19 aspirin, 6 Excedrin 5 buffrin, 4 alka-seltzer, 2 bromo and 1 simple soda water headache. He had a sad case of the cerebral sclerosis and the coronary strombrosis. He came down with the diverticulitis and ended up with the rocky mountain quickstep. Other than that, he felt pretty good. Joel was born Dec. 15th, 1918, in Redmond, Utah, to Leland and Grace Lindhardt. He gave up his scholarship to Snow College and went off to proudly serve his country in World War II. Shortly after his return he married Glenna Larsen, in the Manti Temple on January 15th, 1947. Joel was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He held various church callings and had a strong testimony. He worked a small farm in Genola and worked hard for many years at Pacific States Pipe Company. After his retirement he worked for Walker Oil until he was 80 years old. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and traveling. He is a much loved father, grandpa and friend. Joel's survivors include his children, Karen Farnworth, Paul Lindhardt, Janet White and his sister Myrna Baird. His 14 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife Glenna, his daughter Diane, his granddaughter Karilyn and his great-grandson Hayden. His parents, one sister and two brothers. Services will be held Thursday, Jan. 3rd at 12:00pm, in the Sharon Park 5th ward chapel located at 150 E. 600 N. Orem, Utah. Family and friends may call from 10:00-11:30am prior to the services at the same location. Interment will be in the Orem City Cemetery.
