Joen E. Humphreys 1/17/1937 ~ 7/13/2022. Joen Humphreys passed away peacefully at the age of 85 due to natural causes. She was a fun loving, determined person who loved a good practical joke, and knew how to throw a great party. She was born in Ogden, Utah to Wallace and Marvel England. She is survived by Allison DiMarco (Robert), and Greg Humphreys (Jennifer). She is also survived by grandchildren, Jesse, Brandon and Sierra DiMarco, Jeremy and Eleanor Curtis, Amanda Kilpatrick, and Emily & Abigail Humphreys. She is preceded in death by her husband Leonard “Ray” Humphreys, her sister Louise England, and her daughter Jenefer Curtis.
She graduated from Ogden High School and Weber College and has many fond memories of her experiences there. Joen and Ray were married in 1957, and during their marriage lived in Utah, Kansas, California, New Jersey, and Virginia, finally returning home to Utah for retirement. She enjoyed being a mother and homemaker. She worked as a florist and found great joy in preparing flowers for weddings of her many friends’ children. She also enjoyed traveling with her husband Ray and together they traveled all over the world. She was proud to say she had been in every state in the United States. She was very active in the Weber State Alumni Association, Daughters of the Utah Pioneers, and regular lunches with her lifetime friends from Cupertino, California.
She will be buried next to her husband Ray in the Ogden City Cemetery.
The family extends their appreciation to the staff of the BeeHive Home of Draper, who showed a tremendous amount of compassion and kindness as she approached her transition. Condolences can be made to the family at serenicare.com
