In Loving Memory of Johanne Marie Le Mon

June 4, 1956 – September 29, 2026

Johanne Marie Le Mon, age 70, of American Fork, Utah, passed away on September 29, 2026, joining her sweetheart, Ronald Clegg Le Mon, and many beloved family members who were surely waiting for her with open arms, laughter, and one heck of a party! Heaven just got a whole lot brighter!
Born on June 4, 1956, Johanne grew up in the Salt Lake Valley, Utah, and in Sunnyslope and Phoenix, Arizona, before eventually making her home in American Fork, Utah.

Johanne wasn't just a light in the lives of those who knew her; she was the spark that made your whole world brighter. She had a way of filling the lives of those around her with love, creativity, and memories that will never fade.
Above all else, Johanne loved her grandchildren. They weren't simply her grandkids; she lovingly called them her own. Her love for them was fierce and unconditional. Being a grandma wasn't just a title to Johanne; it was a piece of her heart, and each of her grandchildren held a special place in it.

Johanne was an artist at heart, with creativity flowing through everything she touched. She loved crocheting and learning new stitches, always eager to create something beautiful with her hands. She enjoyed tole painting, crafting skeletons out of milk bottles, and turning ordinary things into extraordinary creations. Her hands were rarely still, and there was always something beautiful, clever, or delicious in the making.
And oh, could that woman bake! Johanne was especially known for her mouthwatering beet cake, caramel popcorn, and sour cream cookies. Those lucky enough to enjoy her baking know that her recipes were more than ingredients mixed together; they were little pieces of love, made by her hands and shared from her heart.

One of Johanne's meaningful accomplishments came when she received her temple recommend and began her temple work. This was a special step in her spiritual journey, one that reflected her faith and desire to draw closer to her Heavenly Father.
On May 17, 2026, Johanne was rushed to the hospital with necrotizing pancreatitis, beginning a long and difficult battle for her health. Over the months that followed, she fought to recover, facing challenges that tested her strength and endurance. Through it all, she continued her fight to heal and get better.
Her final months were not easy, but they were only a small chapter in a life filled with love, creativity, family, and faith. Johanne's story will never be defined by her illness, but by the love she gave, the memories she created, and the lives she made brighter simply by being herself.

Johanne is survived by her brothers, Blane (Joyce) Burningham, Paull B. (Kerrie) Gunderson, and Ray S. Thompson; her daughter, Amanda Irene (Shawn) Hansen; and her beloved grandchildren, Jonah Carl Eric (Hannah) Gunderson, Charley Ray Matthieu Gunderson, Haylee B. Hansen, Tayzia M. Hansen, Skylee D. Hansen, Aidan Dwayne Keisel, and Ava-Simone' Hannah (Ethan Christensen) Keisel.
She also leaves behind 1.5 precious great-grandchildren, Colton Toby Brett Christensen and a little "pending nugget" who will someday hear stories of the wonderful woman who was their Gigi.
Although our hearts ache knowing we can no longer hear her voice, share her laughter, or enjoy another batch of her famous treats, we find comfort in knowing she has been reunited with her sweetheart, Ronald, and those who went before her.
We can only imagine the reunion happening in heaven right now. The hugs, the laughter, the stories, and, knowing Johanne, perhaps a little mischief, too.

Johanne leaves behind more than memories. She leaves behind love woven into every stitch, beauty in every creation, sweetness in every recipe, and pieces of herself in every heart she touched.
The world may be a little dimmer without her spark, but heaven is shining a whole lot brighter.
To all who have loved Johanne and will continue to carry her memory in their hearts, thank you. Thank you for loving and adoring our sister, Mum, GMA, and Gigi. She was so much more than these titles; she was our sunshine, our spark, and a piece of our hearts that can never be replaced.

She will be missed tremendously, loved endlessly, and remembered always.
Until we meet again, keep the party going up there, Johanne. Save us a seat and know that your love will live on in each of us forever. ❤️
