John Call

John Call at age 90 passed away peacefully Wednesday, April 12, 2017 at his home in Provo, Utah. John was born on July 17, 1926 in Brigham City, Utah to Gerald Emery Call & Dagmar Marie Christensen. He married his sweetheart, Glenda Joy Cheney, 64 years ago on June 28, 1952. They were later sealed for time & all eternity in the Provo Temple on June 3, 1972.

John worked for many years as a Journeyman Pipefitter for Geneva Steel. He also served his country in the Merchant Marines during WWII. John & his family spent many years enjoying the beautiful outdoors & making lasting memories while camping especially up Fairview Canyon.

He is preceded in death by his parents and son, John Norman Call. He is survived by his loving wife & children, Pamela Glenda Thacker, Camile Call (Ken) Ralphs, Debbie (Wayne) Clawson, William (Rebecca) Call, Dagmar Marie Call (Gene) Rudolph, 29 Grandchildren & 60 Great-Grandchildren.

Viewings will be held Friday, April 14th from 6:00 to 8:00 pm & Saturday, April 15th from 9:30 to 10:45 am with a funeral service at 11:00 am at the Grandview 6th Ward 1600 N 1880 W, Provo, Utah. Interment will be at the Fairview City Cemetery. The family would like to thank the many nurses & staff with Applegate especially Kristie & Shannon.
