Jolene Rae Williams passed away February 18, 2026. She was born November 15, 1940 to Arnold Henry Steere and Lillian Spotten in Provo, Utah. She graduated from Provo High School.
Mom loved to read books. She finally learned to read well in the 4th grade starting a journey of reading everything. She did lots of handwork projects and wanted to try many more. She loved Orchids and had a greenhouse for many years. She sold the flowers to floral shops for wedding bouquets etc. The flowers were large and beautiful. She even came up with ways to treat diseases that were published in some of the Orchid Society books. Gardening was her passion. The flowers, roses and trees she chose were always beautiful to enjoy.
She loved the opera, played the cello for one year in school and most of all she loved playing the piano. She would get up every day before the rest of the family and start her 5 hours per day of practicing. She joined a ladies group of singers singing and playing the piano for performances. She was a good cook trying out new recipies all the time. She also sewed clothing and toys for the family
We always had fun as a family going camping. boating, water skiing, and enjoyed exploring. She would drive the boat for my father to water ski for what seemed hours. Talking to her and listening to her younger years was always fascinating.
She was always willing to help and wanted to participate in church activities to learn new skills, quilted with the ladies, took food into families that were sick and helped when she could.
She was liked by people and they would always say she was a very unique person and someone they wanted to get to know. At her care center she was always liked for her kind personality and desire to get to know people. She even colored her hair pink and was known as the “Pink Lady” because it really looked good on her.
