Joseph Roy Pehrson

Joseph R Pehrson "Joe" Joseph "Joe" Roy Pehrson, Sr., 79, passed away Aug. 28, 2006 at his home in Bountiful, Utah. He was born Sept. 10, 1926 in Tetonia, Idaho to Alexander Joel and Lula Parks Pehrson. Joe is a veteran of the US Army having served in World War II in the 82nd Airborne where as a paratrooper he jumped in many missions between 1944 and 1946. He worked for the LDS Church as an auditor, Hayes Brothers Automotive and as Vice President of Fixed Operations for Ken Garff Automotive for 20 years. Married Faye Archibald in 1950. She died January of 1991. He married Angela Reeder later that year. Joe was an avid reader--he had a strong thirst for knowledge and was a self-educated man. He especially loved spending time with his family. Joe is survived by his wife, Angela; Sons: Kyle Lynn (Edyth), Joe R. Jr. (Debbie), Brad A. (Laurie), Jeff C. (Sandra), Michael R. (Dana) Geddes. Daughters: Heidi (Ryan) Rathmann, Nicole (Bradd) Hogan, and Danielle Peterson; Brothers; Darrell, and Wallace George. Sisters; Margie (Robert) Christensen, Betty Teela and Carol Adams. 29 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his daughter Vickie; brothers: Max, Don and Orbit. Funeral Services will he held at 11a.m. on Friday, Sept. 1, 2006 at the North Canyon 2nd Ward, 3350 So. 100 East in Bountiful, Utah. A viewing will be held at the church Thursday, Aug. 31, 2006 from 6 to 8p.m. and prior to the service from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. Interment at the Bountiful City Cemetery.
