Justin Carter Green

Justin Carter Green, our brown eyed boy, returned home to his Father in Heaven on Friday November 20th. Many loved ones including his Grandpa Moon and his cousin, Kyle Harvey, were there to receive him with a giant hug and a quick bike ride. Justin was born September 23rd 1998 to Gary Green and April (Moon) Garlick. He was a beautiful, happy baby boy. He was intelligent, driven, handsome, caring, strong, compassionate, and the most curious child you could ever know. He was passionate about learning how things worked, especially Apple products. If you needed your iPhone fixed, he knew just what to do. He was a loyal friend who always had your back. He stood for truth and had a testimony of the restored gospel of Jesus Christ. He often bore his testimony in words and in actions. He was currently attending Syracuse High School where he had many great friends and loved hanging out with them. If Justin had to choose though, home was always his first choice. Family and traditions were everything to him. His new found love was his road bike that he scrimped, saved for and purchased with his own money. He had many goals to ride in local races. He enjoyed running and the outdoors as well. Justin was a talented musician and played trumpet, piano, and the drums. He was respected and very respectful of others. He was a complete gentlemen and an absolute stinker at the same time. If you wanted to argue you would always lose to Justin because he loved to debate. Justin was his mom's right hand man. He shopped, cooked, and taxied for her. He even cleaned occasionally but mostly he left more messes than he cleaned up! For the past year and a half Justin fought an eating disorder. He won many battles against it but ultimately from reasons related to the disorder Justin's battle ended too soon. Justin is survived by his parents: Gary and Monae Green and April and Brian Garlick; brothers: Jacob (Sadie) Green, Trevor Green, and Nathan Green who were not only his blood brothers but best friends. Oh how he loved his brothers. Step-siblings: Jonah, Savannah, Jasmine, Mosiah, Isaiah, and Naomi; his grandparents: Patricia Moon, Richard and Diane Green; many cousins, aunts, uncles, friends; a darling niece, Ava and a new niece or nephew due in June. He was preceded in death by his loving Grandpa, Stephen Moon; his cousin and hero, Kyle Harvey; and his precious twin brothers, Spencer and Joseph. What a beautiful reunion it must have been. Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 28th, 2015 at 12:00 p.m. at the Glen Eagle 1st ward building 3426 W. Augusta Dr. Syracuse, Utah 84075 Friends may visit family at the church on Friday from 6 until 8 and Saturday from 10:00-11:30 a.m. Interment will be in Lindquist Memorial Park at Layton, 1867 No. Fairfield Road. Justin was an absolute blessing to everyone. He will be missed more than words can say. Justin, we love you. You are now free from the chains that tortured you every waking minute. Be happy, smile, laugh, teach and watch over your family who is aching right now. Until we meet again, God be with you Brown eyes!
