Karl Dean Gillett

Karl Dean Gillett  was born on June 10, 1933 in Pleasant Grove, UT passed away peacefully at the age of 91, August 11, 2024 with his daughters by his side. 

He served in the United States Army, for 5 Years, 11 months and 13 days. When he returned, he married the love of his life, Phyliss Street and spent many years raising their family in Park City, UT

He retired from Salt Lake City Fleet management as a heavy equipment mechanic. 

He enjoyed spending time with family, hunting, fishing and camping and playing Texas Hold’em in Wendover with his brother Guy, he also enjoyed playing his guitar. 

He is survived by his daughters, Laurie Underwood, Shelle Callaway, Carol Kirby, Janice Alires (Frank), Deanna Gaumond (Mike). And many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great, great grandchildren.

Preceded in death by his wife Phyliss, son William “Billy”, parents, Orville and Ruth Gillett; brothers, Guy, Fred, and Vaughn; sisters, Ruth and Judy.

The family is holding a viewing Thursday, August 15 from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. at City View Memorium, 1001 E. 11th Avenue, Salt Lake City, Utah.   There will also be a graveside service August 16, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at the Park City Cemetery, 1300 Kearns Blvd.  Park City Utah 84060.
